The Ask
The Magical Hive is the brainchild of artist Jessica Parsons. This brand will be a fashion line featuring rainbow gradients, magical creatures, and overall character. She wanted her brand to embody it's fashionable offerings. With this in mind, I created a mythical creature only this Queen Bee could own.
The Logo
In creating this logo, I wanted to showcase the Magical Hive embodying a mythical creature. Explained above, I landed on a bee with the head of a skull and the body of a hive. The skull is representative of mysticism, while the hive represents the bees iconic striping.
Brand Textures
Gradients, and patterns, and textures, oh my! The Magical Hive has so many stories to tell. We've broken down some of those chapters into usable patterns and textures. This includes a color palette that embraces the magical rainbow, gradients that mix together colorful magic, and a swirl of typography.
